No. The lamp is not rated for dimmer compatibility. If dimming is required, consider pairing with smart GU10 bulbs that dim via app control rather than mains dimmer switches.

Does light shine through the patterned shade?

No. The three GU10 fittings direct light downwards through a frosted white diffuser panel at the base of the drum. The black and white patterned fabric around the sides of the drum blocks light and serves a decorative rather than light-diffusing function.

Is it stable on carpet?

Yes. The 8.7kg weight and circular chrome base provide stability on both hard floors and short-to-medium pile carpet. On very thick or shag carpet, positioning the lamp against a wall or in a corner adds security.
