Description
The MagPro is an addressable manual call point certified to EN54-11-A, housed in a red surface-mount enclosure rated IP67 for outdoor and harsh-environment installation. The call point connects to addressable fire alarm control panels, sending a unique device identifier when the frangible element is pressed, allowing the control panel to pinpoint the exact activation location within the building or site.
Designed for commercial, industrial and outdoor fire alarm installations where the call point may be exposed to weather, dust or water ingress, the IP67 rating allows it to be surface-mounted on exterior walls, in open-sided car parks, loading bays, plant rooms and other locations where a standard indoor call point would fail. The resettable design uses a transparent plastic frangible element that breaks when pressed, but can be replaced with a new element after activation without replacing the entire unit.
The built-in loop isolator protects the addressable circuit from short-circuit faults, preventing a single device failure from disabling the entire loop. The call point mounts to a standard UK back box or directly to a wall surface using the four corner fixing points visible in the unit. The red enclosure with white activation symbol and house-flame icon follows standard UK fire safety signage conventions, making it immediately recognisable as a fire alarm activation point.
The MagPro measures approximately 90mm x 90mm at the face with a depth of around 40mm when surface-mounted. Net weight is 0.2kg, light enough for mounting on plasterboard walls with appropriate fixings. The addressable protocol compatibility should be confirmed with your fire alarm control panel manufacturer before installation, as different manufacturers use different addressable communication protocols.

Frequently Asked
What does IP67 mean for this call point?
IP67 means the unit is dust-tight and can withstand immersion in water up to 1 metre depth for 30 minutes. This makes it suitable for outdoor installation, exposed car parks, loading bays and wet industrial environments where a standard indoor call point would not survive.
Can the call point be reset after activation?
Yes. The frangible element breaks when pressed but can be replaced with a new element after the alarm has been investigated and reset. The main unit body does not need to be replaced after activation, only the transparent plastic element.
Is it compatible with all addressable fire alarm panels?
Not automatically. Different fire alarm manufacturers use different addressable protocols. Check the MagPro datasheet and your control panel compatibility list before ordering to confirm they will communicate correctly on the same loop.
Does it require special wiring?
The call point connects to a two-wire addressable loop using standard fire-rated cable. The built-in isolator protects the loop from short-circuit faults at this device. Wiring and installation must be carried out by a competent fire alarm engineer in accordance with BS 5839.
