Description

The MagPro is an addressable manual call point certified to EN54-11-A for use in commercial, industrial and institutional fire alarm systems. The call point connects to addressable fire alarm control panels, allowing each unit to carry a unique address that identifies its exact location when activated. A built-in isolator prevents a short-circuit fault at one call point from disabling the rest of the detection loop.

Designed for wall mounting in corridors, stairwells, exits and fire escape routes, the MagPro uses a resettable break-glass mechanism that can be reset after activation using the supplied key, avoiding the need to replace the entire unit after a test or false alarm. The red polycarbonate housing carries the standard white 'Fire Alarm' text and directional arrows visible from both directions along a corridor.

The IP40 rating suits dry indoor environments such as offices, retail premises, schools, hotels and light industrial buildings. The call point measures 90mm square and projects approximately 50mm from the wall once surface-mounted on a standard back box. An optional transparent protective cover (sold separately) can be fitted over the front to prevent accidental activation in high-traffic areas while still allowing deliberate operation by lifting the cover first.

What does 'addressable' mean in a fire alarm context?

Addressable call points connect to a two-wire loop on the fire alarm control panel, with each call point carrying a unique address (typically 1-255). When activated, the panel identifies exactly which call point was triggered rather than just which zone, helping responders locate the source of the alarm faster.

Can the call point be reset after activation?

Yes. The MagPro uses a resettable mechanism that can be reset using the supplied key after the break-glass element has been activated. This avoids replacing the entire unit after testing or false alarms.

What is the built-in isolator for?

The isolator prevents a short-circuit fault at this call point from disabling other devices on the same detection loop. If a wiring fault occurs at this location, the isolator cuts off the fault while allowing the rest of the loop to continue operating.

Is the protective cover included?

No. The optional transparent protective cover is sold separately. It fits over the front of the call point to prevent accidental activation while still allowing deliberate operation by lifting the cover first.
