The Magnum is a twin-head adjustable LED recessed downlight with two independently tilting spotlights set within a 112mm square white aluminium trim. Each head houses a 7W 3000K LED, giving 14W total output directed from the ceiling cavity. The heads tilt and rotate within the aperture, allowing light to be aimed at artwork, architectural features, or specific task zones rather than straight downwards.

Designed for residential living rooms, kitchens, hallways and commercial retail or hospitality interiors, the Magnum provides accent lighting where a single fixed downlight would leave corners or wall features unlit. The twin heads suit feature walls, kitchen worktops where directional task light is needed alongside general ambient lighting, or gallery-style lighting over art and photographs. The 112mm square aperture fits a ceiling cut-out of approximately 100mm square, and the recessed installation means the fitting sits flush with the ceiling plane once installed.

The white powder-coated aluminium construction dissipates heat from the integrated LEDs through the recessed body into the ceiling void, keeping the visible trim cool to touch during operation. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor locations only — this is not suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor soffits. The 3000K colour temperature provides warm white light comparable to halogen, and the integrated LED design removes the need to source and replace bulbs over the fitting's lifespan.

The Magnum runs on standard 220-240V AC mains, requiring connection via a driver or transformer (typically supplied with the fitting, check the box contents). The white finish allows the downlight to blend into white or light-coloured ceilings, while the black aperture recess behind the trim adds depth and hides the back of the light heads when viewed from below.

Can the light heads be adjusted after installation?

Yes. Both heads tilt and rotate within the aperture, allowing you to redirect the light towards different areas as needed. This makes the fitting suitable for accent lighting where the target surface may change over time, such as repositioned furniture or rotating artwork displays.

What ceiling void depth is required?

The fitting has a recessed depth of 88mm, so a minimum ceiling void of 100mm is recommended to allow clearance for the driver, wiring and heat dissipation. Shallower voids may require alternative mounting or a different fitting type.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The LED is integrated into the light heads and is not user-replaceable. The LEDs are rated for approximately 25,000-30,000 hours of operation, which at typical residential use (4-6 hours per day) equates to 10-15 years before noticeable degradation. At end of life, the entire fitting would need replacing.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is rated for dry indoor locations only and offers no protection against moisture ingress. For bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor soffits, you would need a fitting rated IP44 or higher depending on the zone.
