Magneto 48V Magnetic Recessed Track 1m Long - Black

This is a one metre length of recessed track in black, supplied with its end caps, and it forms the spine of a magnetic low voltage lighting system. The profile measures 67mm across, so it reads as a clean dark channel set into the ceiling line rather than a piece of hardware sitting below it. Heads drop onto the track magnetically and slide along it, so lighting positions are decided after the run is in and can be changed later without tools.

We reach for recessed track where a ceiling needs to stay quiet: a kitchen with an island to light, a hallway, a stair landing, a wall of shelving or pictures that will be rearranged more than once. It suits open-plan rooms where a single continuous run can do several jobs at once, a tight beam over the hob, a wash down a pale wall, a softer pool above a table. It is also worth thinking about where a scatter of separate apertures would look busy.

The profile is finished in matt black, which keeps the run understated when the heads are switched off. It is meant for dry indoor rooms and runs at low voltage from a driver rather than straight off the mains, and we stock both the constant voltage driver and the push switch dimmable controller that a system needs. To clean it, isolate the circuit and pass a dry cloth along the channel so dust does not settle on the contacts. Recessed L-joints are made for this profile if the run has to turn a corner or finish into a wall, and the same range also offers shallow and deep surface tracks where a section of the scheme cannot be recessed. It carries a three year warranty. Light heads are chosen separately.

What size is this track section?

Each section is 1000mm long, 67mm wide and 57mm deep, and it is supplied complete with end caps.

Does the section include any lights?

No. This is the non-electrical track itself, so the heads are chosen to suit the run and the rooms they light.

Do I need anything else to power it?

Yes, the system runs at low voltage, so it needs a driver. We stock a 48V DC 150W non-dimmable driver, plus a Triac and push switch dimmable controller rated up to 720W, one per system.

Can the track change direction?

It can. Recessed L-joints are made for this profile in a 90 degree version and in wall to wall in and out versions.

How should I clean it?

Isolate the circuit first, then run a dry cloth along the channel. Keep liquids and sprays away from the conductive strips.

Is there a warranty?

Yes, it carries a three year warranty.
