Description

A high ceiling can leave track lighting too far from the worktop to be much use. This is the part that brings it down. Each kit gives 2m of drop, in black, and it works with all types of surface track. It comes as a pack of two, which is what a single run usually needs. We keep it beside the track itself, since the pair tend to be bought together.

It earns its place in rooms with height: a kitchen under a vaulted ceiling, a dining table below an open loft, a stairwell landing, a barn conversion or a studio where the ceiling sits well above head height. Dropping the track lower puts the spots nearer whatever they are lighting, so beams land tighter and less output goes to waste. It suits anyone planning a track system properly rather than accepting the ceiling line as given. We would choose it over a row of separate pendants where the lighting may need to move about later.

The black is flat and even along the full length, so the drop reads as part of the system rather than an afterthought. It carries a three year warranty. There is nothing to service: run a dry cloth down it now and then to stop dust settling and the black stays clean. The wider range runs to shallow and deep surface track, matching end caps, L-joints for corners and wall to wall turns, and a dimmable controller for the system, all in the same black.
