Description

Small, round and unfussy, this spotlight head sits in the line of a Magneto track and aims a tight pool of light where you want it. Gold and black together keep it quiet against a dark run, so it reads as a small metallic dot rather than a heavy fitting. The LED and its driver are built in, drawing 7W for 560 lumens of warm white light, and the beam is narrow rather than broad. There is no dimming, so the level stays put.

We would use it where a room wants several small pools of light instead of a single broad wash: over a worktop, above open shelving, on pictures in a sitting room, or across a shop display. Because each head takes its power from the track itself, you can set a few along a run and shift them later when the furniture moves. The warm tone is kind to timber, brick and painted plaster, and it flatters food and skin, which is why we like it in kitchens and dining rooms as much as in galleries. Narrow beams like this reward a little thought about aiming.

The gold surface asks for little: a dry, soft cloth for dust, and no polishes, sprays or kitchen degreasers, which can mark the finish.
