Description

A small ball head that clips onto Magneto track and turns in its housing so the light goes exactly where you want it. The body and the sphere are black throughout, and the LED sits inside the ball, drawing 7W and giving a warm 3000K light of the sort that flatters wood, brick and painted plaster rather than bleaching them. The beam is tighter than a general downlight, so it lands as a defined pool on a surface instead of a broad wash.

This is the head we reach for when a room needs light in particular places rather than everywhere at once: over a kitchen island, along a run of open shelving, across pictures in a hallway, or picking out a display in a home office. Several heads on one length of track let you aim each one differently and change your mind later, which suits rooms where the furniture moves around. Output is fixed rather than variable, so it is simply switched on and off, and it belongs in dry indoor rooms.

The LED and its driver are built in together, giving around 560 lumens from a head that stays compact enough to disappear against a dark ceiling. It carries a three year warranty. Keeping it right is undemanding: with the power off, run a dry cloth over the ball to lift dust, then check the head is still pointing where you meant it to. Avoid sprays and damp cloths near the front of the optic. We stock the black track it runs on in surface and recessed forms, along with the matching L-joints and end caps, so a run can turn a corner and finish tidily in the same black. Nothing needs buying separately to light it, as the LED is part of the fitting.
