Description

A slender black tube on a fine suspension, this is the pendant member of the Magneto low voltage track range. Its light source is built in, drawing 5W and giving 400 lumens of warm 3000K light in a tight downward cone rather than a broad wash. The drop can be set within a range, so a run of them can be levelled over a worktop or hung lower above a table. Switched rather than dimmed, it comes on at full output every time.

We would fit these in a run along a kitchen island, over a breakfast bar, or above a long dining table where one large pendant would crowd the room. The narrow beam keeps light on the surface and off the walls, which suits open plan spaces where you want pools of light rather than overall brightness. They also work over a shelf of glassware, a bar, or a display cabinet in a hallway. Because the run shares a single track, a light can be added, removed or slid along later as the furniture moves. Keep it to dry indoor rooms: kitchens and living spaces, not bathrooms or sheltered outdoor spots.

Black runs the length of the fitting, tube and suspension alike, so a line of them reads as dark verticals rather than visible hardware. To keep it that way, switch off at the wall and run a dry cloth down the tube when you dust the kitchen; nothing needs opening, as the LED is fixed. It carries a three year warranty.
