Description

A compact spotlight built for the Magneto track range, finished in black with a slim barrel just 35mm across. The LED is integral and draws 5W, throwing a warm white beam that flatters wood, paint and skin tones rather than bleaching them. Its driver is built in, and it is triac dimmable, so with a compatible dimmer the light drops back gently for evenings. No dimmer comes with it.

This is a light for pointing at something: a run of shelving, a picture wall, a worktop, the reading end of a sitting room. Because the head is small and the output modest, several along a single track give better results than one bright fitting on its own, and the spacing is yours to set. We reach for it in kitchens and hallways where a pendant would hang in the way, and in home offices where a fixed ceiling light lands in the wrong place. It is for dry rooms indoors, away from splashes and steam.

The body is black throughout, a quiet finish that reads as shadow against a dark track and stays discreet against a white ceiling. Keep it clean by switching off at the wall, letting the head cool, then running a dry cloth over the barrel and a soft brush around the lens; solvents and damp cloths do it no favours. It carries a three year warranty. We stock the rest of the Magneto range alongside it, including shallow and deep surface track, recessed track, corner joints in both depths, end caps and the triac controller that dims the system, so a single run can be planned and added to over time.
