Description

This is a slim linear head for the Magneto low voltage track range, a narrow black bar of COB LED that sits along the run rather than pointing out of it. The light is a continuous line rather than a spot, drawn at 4000K for a clean cool white, and the driver is built in so nothing further is needed. It draws 18W and works as a simple on and off fitting, with no dimming.

We reach for it over kitchen worktops and along island runs, where a line of light lands more evenly on a surface than a row of spots. It suits open shelving, a row of pictures, a galley kitchen, or a hallway that wants light along its length rather than in pools. At 370mm it is short enough to repeat along a longer track for a continuous wash, or to sit on its own above a sink or a desk. Cool white keeps colours honest for cooking, reading and close work.

The housing is finished in matt black throughout, so it reads as a dark line on a pale ceiling and all but vanishes against a dark one. It is a light, compact head meant for dry rooms indoors; a porch or a shower room is the wrong home for it. With the power off and the fitting cool, a dry cloth along the lens and the sides is all the cleaning it asks for, and solvents will dull the black. It carries a three year warranty. We stock the Magneto tracks in shallow surface, deep surface and recessed forms, with L-joints and end caps to match, so a run can be set out to suit the room. The LED is integral, so there is no lamp to buy.
