Description

A slim bar of light for the Magneto magnetic system, this head sits down onto the live track and reads as part of it. The COB LED behind the lens throws a continuous line rather than a row of dots, drawing 18W at a warm white 3000K that stays kind to timber, plaster and paint. The housing runs to 370mm, narrow enough to look like a shadow line overhead when it is switched off, and the driver is built in.

It earns its place where you want light along something rather than at it: a run of worktop, a bookcase, a corridor hung with pictures, a long dining table. The beam is tight enough to keep the spill controlled, so two or three heads set down a track read as deliberate stripes of light instead of a general flood. We reach for a linear head like this in kitchens where pendants would crowd the sightline, and in rooms where the ceiling is the only sensible place left to light from. Warm white suits living spaces and evening use, and it is the temperature we pick for anywhere people sit for long.

Black runs the whole length of the housing, so it vanishes against dark track and stays quiet against a white ceiling. Output is fixed, with no dimming. Keep the system switched off, then wipe the lens with a dry cloth and lift dust off the body with a soft brush; nothing damp and nothing abrasive on the optic. It carries a three year warranty. We stock the surface and recessed tracks, the corner joints and the end caps in the same black, so a lit line can be built up, turned into a corner or run wall to wall without a change of finish.
