Description

This is a slim linear bar for the Magneto track range, giving a continuous line of light rather than a pool from a single point. A COB LED sits behind a diffuser, and the light is a warm 3000K white that settles easily into kitchens and living rooms. The body measures 370mm and is black throughout, so it reads as a quiet dark line along the track. It draws 18W and dims with a triac dimmer, which is not part of the package.

We reach for these where light needs to travel rather than land in spots: over a run of worktop, along an island, above a bank of open shelving or down the length of a hall. The head sits low in the profile, which keeps the brightest part of the beam off the eye as you pass beneath. Several can sit on the same length of track, spaced to suit the job, and the whole run then comes up and down together from the same dimmer. It suits anyone who would rather see a clean line of light than a row of separate fittings.

The finish is black across the body and the visible faces, and a driver is supplied with it. Keep it clean by switching off at the wall, letting the fitting go cold and passing a dry cloth along the diffuser; it asks for nothing more than that. It carries a three year warranty. The rest of the range is black too, running to shallow and deep surface track, recessed track, L-joints, end caps and a triac controller for the system, so a scheme can be built up piece by piece. The LED is integrated, so there is nothing to change.
