Description

This is a slim black bar of light for the Magneto magnetic track range, giving a continuous warm line rather than a row of spots. The COB LED behind the lens draws 12W and sits at 3000K, a warm white that flatters wood, brick and painted plaster. At 250mm it is a compact head, easy to place along a run and easy to move later. The LED and its driver are built in. It is not a dimming fitting, so it comes on at full output with the circuit.

We reach for linear heads like this where light needs spreading rather than aiming: along a kitchen shelf, over a worktop, above a desk, or down a hallway where spots would leave scallops on the wall. The fairly tight beam keeps light on the surface you want lit and off the ceiling. It suits anyone building a track layout in stages, since heads can be added and rebalanced as a room changes. Keep it to dry indoor rooms; it is not one for a bathroom zone or a covered porch.

The body is black throughout, so it reads as a dark line on a pale ceiling and all but vanishes against a dark one. To clean, switch the circuit off and run a dry cloth along the housing and the lens; abrasives and sprays will only mark the finish. It carries a three year warranty. The rest of the range is black to match, with surface and recessed track, L-joints for turning a corner or running wall to wall, and end caps to close off an open run, so a layout can be drawn to fit the room. The LED is integral, so there is no lamp to change.
