Description
A slim black bar that sits into the Magneto track and throws a broad, even wash of warm light. The COB LED behind the lens reads as a continuous line rather than a row of dots, so the light lands as one soft band across a worktop, a shelf or a wall. It runs 250mm along the track and is narrow enough to read as a dark stripe against a black line. Output is 12W at 3000K, a warm white that keeps timber, brick and painted plaster looking friendly rather than clinical.
We reach for one of these where downlights would be too pinpoint and a pendant would hang in the way: over island seating, along a run of books, above framed pictures where the frame wants light and the ceiling does not. Several can share a single track, spaced as the room asks, and the whole line dims together from a triac dimmer or from the push switch controller in the same range. The dimmer itself is bought separately. It suits kitchens, hallways and home offices, and anyone who would rather see the light than the fitting.
The housing is black throughout, so it reads as part of the track rather than an interruption to it. Wiring is Class 1 and needs an earth, and it belongs in dry rooms well away from splashes and weather. Upkeep is light work: kill the power, draw a dry cloth along the lens to lift dust and cooking film, and keep solvents away from the finish. The LED is integral, so there is nothing to change over its working life. It carries a three year warranty. We stock the surface and recessed tracks, the corner joints and the end caps in matching black, which makes a line that turns a corner still look deliberate.

Frequently Asked
How bright is it?
It gives 960 lumens from 12W, in a warm white of 3000K. Along a kitchen run, two or three spaced across a track give steady working light without hot spots.
Does it need a special dimmer?
Yes, a triac dimmer or push switch controller, which is not supplied with the light. We stock a triac and push switch controller in this range, one per system, and it handles the whole track together rather than each light separately.
Can I change the LED later?
No, the LED is built in, with a rated life of 30,000 hours. There is no lamp to source and none to fit.
What size is it?
It is 250mm long and 23mm wide, and it weighs 0.2kg, so a track run carries several without fuss.
Is it suitable for a bathroom or outside?
No. It is rated IP20, which means dry indoor rooms only. Kitchens, living rooms, hallways and studies are all fine.
How wide is the spread of light?
The beam is 50 degrees, so it lights a defined band rather than filling a whole room. Space several along the track where you want continuous cover.
