Description

A slim black bar rather than a cone on a stalk, this head runs 200mm end to end and throws a narrow line of warm white light. The LED is built in and the driver comes with it, drawing 10W for roughly 800 lumens, so the whole thing stays compact on the track. There is no dimming: it comes on at a single level and stays there.

We reach for a linear head where a line of light does more work than a scatter of spots: along a kitchen worktop, over a long table, or washing down a run of shelves and framed prints. The beam is tight enough to keep light on the surface you want lit and off the ceiling, which suits open plan rooms where the track is in view. It needs an earthed supply and belongs indoors, in rooms that stay dry.

The body is black on every face, so a row of them reads as a continuous line against a black track instead of a series of interruptions. Cleaning wants a cold fitting: isolate the circuit, give the housing and the lens a wipe with a dry cloth, and keep sprays, polish and kitchen degreasers well away from the optic. It carries a three year warranty. The rest of the range is in the same black, which is why runs built from it look deliberate: shallow and deep surface tracks, a recessed track, L-joints for turning a corner or carrying light wall to wall, and end caps to close the ends off. We stock the heads and the track parts together, so you can work out the length you need and order the pieces in a single order. The LED is part of the fitting, so there is no lamp to change.
