MAGfire 4 Zone Conventional Fire Alarm Panel - ABS Enclosure

The MAGfire 4 Zone is a conventional fire alarm control panel in an ABS enclosure, certified to EN54 Part 2 and Part 4. It supports four independently programmable detection zones, each capable of monitoring up to 30 fire detectors plus an unlimited number of manual call points. Active end-of-line monitoring detects open circuits, short circuits and detector head removal in real time.

Designed for small to medium commercial installations — offices, retail units, light industrial premises, schools and care facilities — the panel provides central monitoring and control of all connected fire detection devices and sounders. The integral sound alarm button allows manual activation of sounders for testing or emergency use. Individual zone and sounder isolate switches allow specific circuits to be taken offline for maintenance without disabling the entire system.

The panel includes volt-free changeover relays for both fire and fault conditions, enabling integration with building management systems, automatic door release mechanisms or remote monitoring equipment. The one-man walk test facility allows a single engineer to test detector operation across all zones without requiring a second person at the panel. The class change facility supports different operational modes depending on site requirements. A single 12V battery provides backup power in the event of mains failure.

The ABS enclosure provides impact resistance and lighter weight than steel equivalents, making wall installation easier in environments where corrosion is not a concern. The panel requires a security key to enable or disable system functions, preventing unauthorised tampering. Individual sounder circuit fault identification isolates faults to specific output circuits rather than flagging the entire system as faulty.

How many detectors can each zone support?

Each of the four zones can monitor up to 30 fire detectors plus an unlimited number of manual call points. This allows for typical detector spacing across a zone area of 200-400m² depending on detector type and ceiling height.

What certification does the panel carry?

The MAGfire 4 Zone is CE certified to EN54 Part 2 (control and indicating equipment) and EN54 Part 4 (power supply equipment). This is the standard certification required for commercial fire alarm panels installed in the UK and EU.

What backup power is required?

The panel requires one 12V rechargeable battery for backup power during mains failure. Battery capacity should be calculated based on the total system load (detectors, sounders, remote indicators) and the required standby time per BS 5839 or local fire safety regulations.

Can zones be isolated individually?

Yes. The panel provides individual zone isolate and sounder isolate switches, allowing specific detection circuits or sounder circuits to be taken offline for maintenance or fault investigation without disabling the entire system.
