Description

The MAGfire MAG2 is a 2-zone conventional fire alarm control panel housed in a white powder-coated metal enclosure with a front-mounted control interface. The panel supports up to 30 fire detectors per zone plus unlimited manual call points, giving a maximum system capacity of 60 automatic detectors across both zones. Zone configuration is programmable via the front panel controls, and active end-of-line monitoring detects circuit faults and detector head removal in real time.

Designed for small commercial and light industrial installations where two detection zones provide adequate coverage, the panel includes integral sounder output circuits with individual fault identification and zone-by-zone isolation capability. A one-man walk test mode allows a single engineer to test detector response without holding down a test button at the panel. The volt-free fire relay and volt-free fault relay provide remote signalling to building management systems or remote monitoring stations.

The panel is BS5839 and EN54 Part 2 and Part 4 compliant and carries CE certification. It operates from a single 12V standby battery (not included), reducing installation and maintenance complexity compared to dual-battery systems. The metal enclosure provides physical protection and earthing in industrial environments. A class change facility allows the system to be reconfigured between day and night operation modes, and the security key function prevents unauthorised changes to zone programming or system settings.

One-man walk test mode allows a single engineer to test detector response without needing a second person to monitor the panel. When activated, the panel enters test mode and indicates detector activation via the control interface while suppressing full alarm output, allowing the engineer to walk the site and verify each detector responds correctly without triggering building evacuation.
