Description

The LYYT LED motion sensor light is a battery-powered security light with nine SMD LEDs housed in a black ABS body that rotates 360° on a wall bracket. A passive infrared (PIR) sensor with a 120° detection angle triggers the LEDs when it detects movement within 3 metres, providing 110 lumens of 6500K daylight-white light. The unit runs on three AAA batteries (not included) and detaches from the wall bracket to function as a handheld torch.

Designed for sheds, garages, lofts, understairs cupboards, and sheltered outdoor storage areas where mains wiring is impractical, the light offers a simple installation that requires only two screws and wall plugs (included). The rotating head allows the beam to be angled towards a doorway, workbench, or shelving unit after the bracket is fixed to the wall. The 90 x 90 x 90mm compact form and 94g weight make it unobtrusive when mounted and portable when detached.

The black ABS housing is weather-resistant for light outdoor use in covered porches and eaves-protected doorways, though it is not rated for full exposure to rain. The nine SMD LEDs are rated for 50,000 hours of operation and draw a maximum of 1.8W when active, giving extended battery life between changes. The PIR sensor does not offer adjustable sensitivity or time delay settings — it activates on detected motion and switches off after a fixed period.

Does it need to be wired into the mains?

No. The light runs entirely on three AAA batteries (not supplied), making it suitable for locations without mains wiring such as sheds, lofts and outbuildings.

Can the sensor sensitivity or delay be adjusted?

No. The PIR sensor has a fixed 120° detection angle, 3m range and fixed-duration activation period. It activates when it detects movement and switches off after a pre-set time.

Can it be used outdoors?

The black ABS housing is weather-resistant for light outdoor use in covered or sheltered locations such as porches and eaves-protected doorways. It is not rated for full exposure to rain or direct weather.

How is the rotating head adjusted?
