Description
These solderless flexible links let you join and extend single colour COB LED strip without reaching for a soldering iron. Each connector has a double end, so you can bridge two lengths of strip or route your run around a corner where a rigid join would not work. To fit them, you insert the strip so the copper contact points line up, then crimp the connector down to hold the strip firmly in place. That is the whole job, which is why these save time on installations where you would otherwise be stopping to solder every joint.
The links are supplied in a pack of 5, giving you enough to handle a typical run at home or a small install job. They are made for single colour COB strip, including the warm white (156.666UK), very warm white (156.668UK) and cool white (156.665UK) versions. There are two single colour link options, 156.658UK and 156.659UK, so check the width of your strip before ordering. The 8mm version also works with the 153.806UK, 153.807UK and 153.808UK DIY kits if you are building one of those.
COB strip (chip on board) gives a continuous line of light with no visible dots, and these connectors are designed to keep that look tidy across joins. They carry a maximum current of 6A and are rated IP20, so they suit indoor, dry locations rather than damp or outdoor use. If you run RGB COB strip instead, use the RGB flexible links (156.657UK) with strip 156.667UK and 156.687UK. For anyone fitting COB strip regularly, these are a sensible thing to keep in the kit.
