Description

These LYYT single colour COB tape connectors give you a solder-free way to join strips of IP20 COB LED tape. Each pack holds five transparent 9-way connectors, sized for 8mm wide tape. You insert the LED tape into the connector in the configuration you need, then crimp it with a pair of pliers. The clear housing keeps the join low-profile and easy to hide along a run.

Getting the polarity right matters, so check the orientation before you crimp. The + sides are marked on the connectors, and the instruction manual includes diagrams to follow. This 8mm version works with COB DIY Kits in cool white (153.808UK), warm white (153.806UK) and natural white (153.807UK). There is also a 10mm version for wider tape, compatible with cool white (156.665UK), warm white (156.666UK) and very warm white (156.668UK) COB LED strip.

The connectors handle 0 to 36V with a maximum current of 5A, and they suit wire gauge of 0.35 to 0.5mm² (AWG20-22). The IP20 rating means they are made for indoor, dry locations rather than outdoor or damp use. They work well for home accent lighting, shop and commercial displays, and DIY projects where you want to link several tape sections into one continuous run. LED tape is sometimes called LED strip; both terms describe the same thing here.
