Description
These LYYT connectors let you join single colour COB LED tape without soldering. Each pack contains five 9-way connectors sized for 10mm wide IP20 COB LED tape (also called LED strip), so you can link several runs together in the layout you need. To fit one, insert the tape into the connector in your chosen configuration and crimp it with a pair of pliers. The transparent housing keeps the join discreet along the run.
Getting the polarity right matters here. The + sides are marked on each connector, so check the orientation before you crimp. The instruction manual includes diagrams to guide you through the process. The 10mm version works with our cool white (156.665UK), warm white (156.666UK) and very warm white (156.668UK) COB LED strip. An 8mm version is also available for COB DIY kits in cool white (153.808UK), warm white (153.806UK) and natural white (153.807UK).
Rated for 0-36V and a maximum current of 5A, these connectors suit home accent lighting, commercial displays and DIY projects alike. The gauge covers 0.35 to 0.5mm² (AWG20-22), and the IP20 rating means they are intended for dry indoor use rather than damp or outdoor locations. Because no soldering is needed, they make quick work of corners, extensions and repairs where you want a clean, gap-free finish.
