Description

The Lyria is a 15cm wall light with a spherical diffuser of blown acid-etched white glass mounted on a white metal wall plate. The glass sphere creates diffused ambient light in all directions, making it a functional choice for hallways, bedside positions, and living areas where soft background illumination is needed. The fitting takes one G9 bulb (sold separately) and is dimmable when paired with a compatible G9 LED and dimmer switch.

Designed for interior installation only with an IP20 rating, the Lyria suits hallway runs where multiple units are spaced 1.5-2m apart, bedside positions as reading light, and bathroom zones where no water contact occurs (not suitable for zones 1 or 2). The 15cm sphere diameter gives enough visual presence to work as a standalone accent on a feature wall without overwhelming smaller rooms. The white metal base sits flush to the wall on a concealed back plate, keeping the profile minimal.

The acid-etched glass diffuser softens the G9 bulb filament or LED element completely, producing an even glow without visible hot spots or glare. The white finish on both glass and metal allows the fitting to recede into white or pale-painted walls, or to act as a contrasting accent on darker tones. The Lyria takes one G9 capsule bulb, sold separately. Most users fit a 3-5W G9 LED in warm white (2700K-3000K) for energy efficiency and reduced heat output compared to halogen G9 bulbs.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with a dimmable G9 LED bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. Not all G9 LEDs dim smoothly, so check the bulb packaging for dimmer compatibility before purchase.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The IP20 rating means the Lyria is suitable for dry interior locations only. It can be used in bathrooms outside zones 1 and 2 (typically more than 600mm from a bath or shower), but not in areas where water contact or high humidity occurs.

How is the glass cleaned?

Switch off the fitting and allow it to cool. Wipe the acid-etched glass gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For fingerprints or dust buildup, a barely-damp cloth with water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the glass or using chemical cleaners that may strip the etched finish.
