Description

This is the large suspension set for our Lyria range: a small chrome disc holder with a built-in LED module, hung on a fine 5m cable, giving an overall length of 5.2 metres. It is the working heart of a pendant rather than a finished light. To complete it, you add one of the range's glass shades in the 15cm or 20cm size, one of its ceiling roses and a separate driver, and none of those three comes in the box. It is rated IP20, which settles where it belongs: indoors and in dry rooms only.

The long cable is the reason to choose this version. At 5m it gives you the drop for a tall stairwell, a double-height hallway or a high landing, and with several sets you can hang pendants at staggered heights over a dining table or in a living room. Because the shade is bought separately, you decide between the 15cm and 20cm glass to suit the scale of the space, and the chrome holder stays the same whichever size you pick. It suits anyone building a cluster or a run of matching pendants from one range.

The integrated LED draws 3.5W and gives 310 lumens of warm white light at 3000K, with a diffuse spread. The LED module is integrated and not replaceable, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It runs at 24V DC from a remote driver, and it dims by PWM when that driver is a dimmable one. The maker rates the LED at 50,000 hours at 25°C, with colour rendering above 90, and gives an operating range of 0°C to 40°C. The whole set weighs just 0.12KG. Order the glass shade, ceiling rose and driver together, and a qualified electrician can install the finished pendant in one visit.
