Description

The Lyria is a 400mm flush ceiling light built around a blown glass sphere with an acid-etched white finish, mounted on a white metal base that sits tight to the ceiling. The single E27 bulb inside the sphere casts light through the etched glass, diffusing it evenly across the room without harsh shadows or glare points.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m where a pendant would hang too low, the Lyria suits bedrooms, hallways, small living rooms and utility spaces needing general ambient light without visual clutter. The 400mm diameter provides enough coverage for rooms up to 12-15 square metres. The flush mount keeps the fitting within 150mm of the ceiling, leaving headroom clear and giving a clean line in contemporary and minimalist interiors.

The white metal base and white etched glass create a monochrome profile that works across colour schemes without competing for attention. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor areas — it cannot be used in bathrooms or outdoor covered spaces. Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb chosen; pair with a dimmable LED E27 bulb (sold separately) and a compatible dimmer switch to adjust light levels from full output down to a night-light level.

Yes. The flush mount sits tight to the ceiling with a maximum projection of approximately 150mm including the glass sphere, making it ideal for rooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m where pendant lights would hang too low.

What bulb does it take?

The Lyria takes one standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. For dimmable operation, pair with a dimmable LED E27 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. Most users choose a warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for living spaces.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is not splash-proof and must only be used in dry indoor areas away from direct water contact. For bathroom ceiling lights you need a fitting rated IP44 or higher.

What room size does the 400mm diameter suit?

The 400mm sphere provides enough light spread for rooms up to approximately 12-15 square metres when paired with a 10W LED bulb. For larger rooms consider using multiple Lyria fittings spaced evenly or choosing a larger diameter flush light.
