Description

The Luxeon Wide is a 1120mm linear track light with an integrated 26W LED running at 3000K colour temperature, housed in a matt black extruded aluminium profile. The fitting mounts onto standard track lighting rails via an adapter housed in the black end cap, with the LED driver built into the track interface rather than requiring a separate remote box. The 1-10V dimming protocol allows brightness control via a compatible dimmer installed on the circuit.

Designed for retail accent lighting, gallery installations, and modern residential spaces where directional task or ambient light is needed without ceiling recesses, the Luxeon Wide provides linear light across a narrow 22mm projection. The track mount allows the fitting to be positioned, repositioned and angled along the rail without rewiring, making it suited to layouts where lighting zones change over time. The 25mm height keeps the profile low against the ceiling or along architectural features where the track is surface-mounted.

The matt black aluminium housing dissipates heat across the 1120mm length, keeping the LED at stable operating temperature without active cooling or visible vents. The 3000K warm white output suits residential, hospitality and retail environments where warmer tones are preferred over the cooler 4000K+ temperatures common in commercial office lighting. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments only.

Luxeon is part of the Ego track profile range from Ideal Lux, an Italian manufacturer producing track and linear lighting systems since 1974. The 5-year warranty covers the LED module and driver electronics, both of which are integrated into the fitting rather than sold as replaceable components.

Frequently Asked

What dimming system does it use?

The Luxeon Wide uses 1-10V dimming, a commercial protocol where a separate low-voltage control wire runs from the dimmer to the driver. This is different from standard domestic trailing-edge or leading-edge dimmers. A 1-10V compatible dimmer must be installed on the circuit for dimming to function.

What track system is it compatible with?

The fitting mounts onto Ideal Lux Ego profile track rails via the adapter built into the end cap. Compatibility with third-party track systems depends on the rail profile — contact us with the track model you're using to confirm fitment before ordering.

Can it be installed on a ceiling without track?

No. The Luxeon Wide requires a track rail for both mechanical mounting and electrical connection. If you need a linear fitting for direct ceiling or wall mounting without track, consider surface-mounted batten lights or linear profiles designed for direct wiring.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The 26W LED module and driver are integrated into the housing. The fitting is covered by a 5-year warranty, but at end of life the entire unit would need replacing rather than swapping out an LED strip or bulb.
