Description

The Luxeon Wide is a 7W LED magnetic track light with a 284mm white aluminium housing, delivering 3000K warm white light through an integrated LED module. The wide beam angle spreads light across a broader area than standard track spotlights, making this fitting suitable for accent lighting, shelf illumination and gallery wall applications where wash rather than spot is needed. The magnetic mounting system allows the light to be clipped onto compatible Ideal Lux Ego profile track and repositioned without tools.

Designed for residential and commercial interiors including living rooms, retail displays, galleries and hospitality spaces, the Luxeon pairs the flexibility of track lighting with the even distribution of linear wash. The 1-10V dimming protocol integrates with compatible dimmer systems, allowing brightness to be adjusted from full output down to 10% for different tasks and moods. The low 22mm projection from the track keeps the fitting close to the ceiling, reducing visual clutter in rooms with lower ceiling heights.

The white powder-coated aluminium finish pairs cleanly with white or light-coloured ceilings and minimalist interiors. The 7W LED module provides functional illumination at low energy consumption, and the IP20 rating confirms the fitting is designed for dry indoor use only. The magnetic attachment means the light can be removed for redecorating or track reconfiguration without needing to disconnect the electrical supply to the entire track run.

What track system does the Luxeon Wide fit?

The Luxeon Wide uses magnetic attachment and is designed to fit Ideal Lux Ego profile track. It will not fit standard 3-circuit track systems or other manufacturers' magnetic track without confirmation of compatibility.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The 7W LED module is integrated into the housing and cannot be replaced by the user. The LED is rated for approximately 25,000-30,000 hours of operation, and the fitting carries a 5-year warranty.

What dimmer is needed for 1-10V control?

The Luxeon Wide requires a 1-10V compatible dimmer, which is a commercial dimming protocol. Standard domestic trailing-edge or leading-edge dimmers will not work. The dimmer must be installed at the mains supply before the track, not on the track itself.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The IP20 rating confirms the fitting is not splash-proof or water-resistant, so it is not suitable for bathroom zones 1 or 2. It can be used in zone 3 (outside the bath/shower enclosure and more than 600mm from the basin edge) where no direct water contact is expected.
