Description
This is the black end cap for the Luxeon up & down magnetic track, a slim upright plate that closes off the open end of a run of track. It measures 90mm tall, 26mm long and just 2mm thick, and weighs 0.02KG, so it adds almost nothing to the look of the line. In the box you receive the end cap alone: the track and the track lights are sold separately, and the cap only earns its place alongside a Luxeon up & down track.
Every run of track has to stop somewhere, and an open end is the first thing the eye catches when a track finishes short of a wall or partway across a ceiling. The maker lists this cap as a required accessory, which tells you it belongs on the order from the start rather than as an afterthought. We would fit one at each open end of your layout, so the finished line looks deliberate and complete wherever your track runs.
The cap is finished in black, the choice to make where your track is black too. It carries no lamp and the maker gives it no power rating, so this is a finishing piece rather than a light. The track it completes is installed by a qualified electrician, and the cap is simply the last piece of that job. Because it comes singly, you buy exactly as many as your layout needs, so count the open ends on your plan before you order and allow one cap for each.

Frequently Asked
What does the Luxeon up & down track end cap fit?
It fits the range's up & down magnetic track, which is sold separately, and it closes off an open end of a run of that track.
Is the track included with this end cap?
No. You receive the end cap alone, and the track and the track lights are both sold separately and need ordering on their own.
How big is the end cap?
It is 90mm tall, 26mm long and 2mm thick, and it weighs 0.02KG, so it is a small, light finishing piece for the track.
Do I need an end cap for my track?
The maker lists it as a required accessory, so we would allow one end cap for every open end of your track layout.
Does the end cap give out any light?
No. It holds no lamp and the maker gives it no power rating, because it simply finishes the open end of the track.
