Description

This is a 2m suspension kit for our Luxeon up and down magnetic track, in black. It hangs the track from the ceiling rather than fixing it flat against it. In the box you get a black holder block that takes the track, a steel suspension wire, a small ceiling canopy, and a screw and wall plug for the ceiling point. The suspension length is 2085mm, and the kit measures 45mm long and 23mm deep. The track and the track lights are not included, and both are sold separately.

Hanging the track suits rooms with higher ceilings, where a rail fixed flat to the ceiling would sit a long way from the space it lights. Suspending it brings the lights down to a more useful height. Because this is up and down track, a suspended run also leaves open space above it, so the upward light has room to spread across the ceiling while the downward light falls into the room. The black block is small and plain, so it sits quietly against a black track rather than drawing the eye.

The maker specifies one kit for every 900mm of track, so the support is spread evenly along the run. The suspension wire is steel and the whole kit weighs 0.06KG, so it adds very little to what the ceiling carries. The holder block is the one black part, while the wire and the small canopy have a bright metal look. The maker lists it as an optional accessory for the track.
