Description
This is a clear spotlight lens for the Luxeon magnetic track spotlights, made to give them an 18° beam. It is a small cone-shaped optic, 35mm across and 19mm deep, with a faceted outer surface and a central lens that draws the light into a tight beam. What you receive is the lens on its own: the spotlight is sold separately, so this is a part to add to a spotlight you already own or are buying alongside it. It fits the range's 8W-12W Single and 16W-24W Double track spotlights, and we offer it for those spotlights only.
An 18° beam is a narrow one, and that is the reason to choose it. Where a wider beam washes a whole wall with light, this lens gives a tighter pool, so a spotlight on the track can pick out a single painting, a sculpture on a plinth, a run of shelving or a display in a shop. It suits anyone with a track across a ceiling who wants one or two heads to do a precise job while other heads light the room more broadly. We list it as an optional accessory, so it is an addition to the spotlight rather than a part the spotlight needs in order to work.
The lens is clear, with the faceted pattern running around its sides and stepped rings at its centre. It weighs 0.01KG, so it adds next to nothing to the spotlight head. It carries no light source of its own: the light comes from the spotlight that holds it, and no spotlight comes in the box. Before ordering, check that your spotlight is one of the 8W-12W Single or 16W-24W Double models in the Luxeon track range, because those are the spotlights this lens is made to fit.
