Description

The Luxeon Surface L-Connector is a right-angle joining piece for surface-mounted track lighting systems, allowing two track sections to meet at 90 degrees. Moulded from black plastic with a matt finish, the connector measures 100mm along each arm and sits flush with the track profile when fitted. Internal copper conductors carry mains voltage around the corner, maintaining electrical continuity across the junction.

Designed for residential, retail and commercial installations where track runs need to turn corners — around room perimeters, along kitchen island edges, or across gallery walls. The connector clips onto the end of one track section and receives the end of the perpendicular section, locking both in place without exposed fixings. Once installed, track spotlight heads can traverse the junction or be positioned directly over it.

The black housing matches the standard Luxeon track profile and blends into ceilings painted in darker tones or provides a defined contrast against white. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor spaces — not suitable for bathrooms, kitchens directly above hobs, or outdoor canopies. The 5-year warranty covers manufacturing defects in the plastic housing and internal conductors.

Is this compatible with all track systems?

This connector is designed for the Luxeon surface-mounted track system. Track lighting systems are not universally compatible — connectors, tracks and spotlight heads must all come from the same manufacturer's range to ensure correct fit and safe electrical connection.

Can spotlight heads pass over the connector?

Yes. Spotlight heads fitted to the Luxeon track system can traverse the L-connector junction, allowing heads to be repositioned around the corner. Some spotlight designs may need slight lifting over the connector depending on their mounting profile.

Does the connector carry power around the corner?

Yes. Internal copper conductors run through the L-connector, maintaining mains voltage continuity from one track section to the next. This allows spotlight heads positioned on either side of the junction to draw power without needing separate feeds.

Can this be used in kitchens or bathrooms?

The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor spaces with no exposure to moisture or steam. It is not suitable for installation directly above kitchen hobs, in bathrooms with showers or baths, or in any zone where water contact is possible.
