Description

The Luxeon recessed L-connector joins two sections of recessed track lighting at a 90° right angle, allowing track runs to turn corners within a ceiling void. The connector body measures 100mm × 100mm and houses an integrated on/off switch, providing local control over power to the second track section without needing to isolate the entire circuit.

Designed for recessed track installations where the track sits flush with the plasterboard ceiling, the L-connector maintains the same profile as the track itself, creating a continuous horizontal line of light around the corner. The on/off functionality is useful in open-plan spaces where one section of track may need to be switched independently — for example, a kitchen island section that runs separately from perimeter track lighting, or a gallery wall section controlled independently from general room lighting.

The aluminium body in matt black finish pairs with the Luxeon recessed track system and provides structural rigidity at the corner joint. The connector clips into the track channel on both arms, creating a secure mechanical and electrical connection. The 100mm dimension on each arm gives enough body length to bridge standard ceiling joist spacing where track sections meet at internal or external corners.

The IP20 rating limits the connector to dry indoor locations only — it is not suitable for bathroom zones or outdoor use. Installation requires access from above the ceiling to position the connector body within the void and to connect the incoming and outgoing track sections. The black finish is visible from below as a continuous line with the track, so the connector blends into dark ceilings or creates a graphic element against white plasterboard.
