Description

The Luxeon is a 192mm magnetic linear track light with an integrated 7W LED module producing 3000K warm white light, housed in an extruded black aluminium body. The fitting attaches magnetically to compatible Ideal Lux Ego profile track systems, allowing tool-free positioning and repositioning along the track without disconnecting power.

Designed for accent and display lighting in retail, galleries, residential feature walls and hospitality settings, the Luxeon provides directional downlight where ceiling-mounted fixed spots would be impractical or inflexible. The magnetic attachment lets you add, remove or reposition multiple Luxeon modules along a single track run as displays change or room layouts evolve. The fitting draws 7W on 230V mains and operates on simple on-off control without dimming capability.

The black anodised aluminium body measures 192mm long by 22mm projection from the track, keeping a low profile on the ceiling while directing light downward through the conical lens array visible in the underside of the fitting. The IP20 rating limits use to indoor, dry locations. Each Luxeon module is a self-contained LED unit — there are no separate bulbs to replace — and carries a 5-year manufacturer warranty from Ideal Lux.

What track system does this fit?

The Luxeon fits Ideal Lux Ego magnetic track profile systems. It will not fit standard 3-circuit track or other manufacturers' magnetic tracks without verification of compatibility. Contact us if you need to confirm compatibility with an existing track installation.

Can the LED be replaced?

No. The 7W LED module is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for approximately 30,000 hours of operation, equivalent to 10+ years of typical daily use.

Is this dimmable?

No. The Luxeon operates on simple on-off control and does not support dimming. If dimming is required, other modules in the Ideal Lux Ego magnetic track range may offer that capability — use the search function to find dimmable variants.

How many can I fit on one track?

The number depends on the total wattage of the track driver and the track length. Each Luxeon draws 7W, so a 100W driver can support up to 14 modules. Practical spacing depends on the application — display lighting typically uses 300-600mm spacing between modules.
