Description

The Luxeon is a 284mm LED magnetic track light built from an extruded aluminium profile with an integrated 13W LED strip running the length of the fitting. The LED emits 3000K warm white light at a fixed output — this model is non-dimmable. The fitting attaches magnetically to compatible track systems, allowing it to be repositioned along the track rail without tools or re-wiring.

Designed for accent lighting and task lighting in retail, gallery, hospitality and residential settings, the Luxeon works as a linear wash light over counters, shelving, artwork or display zones. The magnetic attachment means the fitting can be moved, rotated or removed for cleaning or reconfiguration without cutting power to the track. The 22mm projection from the track rail keeps the profile low and unobtrusive under ceiling-mounted tracks.

The matt black finish on the aluminium housing minimises reflections and pairs with contemporary interiors, industrial styles and dark-toned ceiling tracks. The 13W LED is rated for 30,000 hours at 3000K, providing consistent warm white output without bulb replacement. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to indoor use in dry locations — it is not suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor installations.

Ideal Lux includes a 5-year warranty covering the LED driver and housing against manufacturing defects.

Is this track light dimmable?

No. The Luxeon is a non-dimmable fitting with a fixed 13W LED output. If dimming is required, check the Ideal Lux Luxeon range for dimmable variants of this model.

What track system does it attach to?

The Luxeon attaches magnetically to Ideal Lux Ego magnetic track rails and other compatible magnetic track systems. Verify compatibility with your existing track before ordering — standard three-circuit or single-circuit track rails will not support magnetic fittings.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating limits the Luxeon to dry indoor locations. It is not suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms, kitchens directly above sinks or hobs, or outdoor use.

How long is the LED rated for?

The integrated LED is rated for 30,000 hours at 3000K. At typical usage of 8 hours per day, this equates to approximately 10 years before noticeable lumen degradation. The LED is not user-replaceable — at end of life, the entire fitting is replaced.
