Description

The Luxeon is a 2m steel suspension cable kit for pendant lights, finished in black. The kit includes a steel wire cable, a wall or ceiling mounting plate, grub screws, a cable tensioner, wall plugs and fixing screws — everything needed to suspend a pendant fitting where a traditional ceiling rose is absent or where a non-standard drop length is required.

Designed for DIY installation of pendant lights in residential and commercial settings, the kit allows the suspension height of a pendant to be adjusted on site by feeding the cable through the tensioner and locking it at the desired length. This makes the Luxeon suitable for installations where ceiling height varies, where pendants need to be clustered at different drops, or where a pendant needs to be positioned away from a ceiling rose over a dining table or kitchen island.

The steel cable provides a load-bearing alternative to decorative chain or fabric-covered flex, with a tensile strength that handles the weight of glass, metal and crystal pendants without visible sag. The black finish on the mounting hardware and cable end caps integrates with black braided flex, black ceiling roses and matt black pendant canopies, or provides a contrasting detail against polished chrome or brass pendants.

Can the cable length be adjusted after installation?

Yes. The cable feeds through a tensioner that allows height adjustment on site. Once the pendant is at the desired height, the grub screws lock the cable in position. The cable can be loosened and re-adjusted later if needed.

Does the kit include the electrical cable?

No. This is a mechanical suspension kit only — it carries the weight of the pendant but does not carry electrical current. You will need to run separate flex or cable from your ceiling rose to the pendant fitting alongside or inside the steel cable run.

What fixings are included?

The kit includes wall plugs and screws for fixing the mounting plate to a ceiling or wall. The exact fixing type depends on your ceiling construction — plasterboard ceilings may require additional cavity fixings not included in the kit.
