Description

The Luxeon-2 is a white polycarbonate end power cap designed to close off the live end of a 3-phase track lighting system. The cap measures 26mm in length and projects 52mm from the track face, fitting flush with the track profile to seal the electrical contacts and provide a finished edge where the track terminates.

Used in retail, gallery, hospitality and residential track installations, the end power cap serves both a safety function (covering exposed live rails) and an aesthetic one (presenting a clean white termination rather than raw cut track). The white polycarbonate finish matches most white-painted tracks and ceilings, making the cap visually recessive. The cap clips onto the track end without tools, though some installers prefer to secure it with a small set screw through the existing track fixing hole.

Polycarbonate is impact-resistant and heat-stable, handling the warmth from nearby track heads without discolouring or warping. The 5-year warranty covers material and manufacturing defects. Each track run needs one end cap per termination point — typically two caps per continuous run (one at each end), though more may be needed if the track is broken into segments.

Frequently Asked

Is this compatible with all 3-phase track systems?

The Luxeon-2 end cap is designed for Ideal Lux 3-phase track. While some 3-phase tracks use similar profiles, compatibility with other brands is not guaranteed. Check the track manufacturer's specification before ordering.

Does this cap conduct power or just close the track?

This is an end power cap, meaning it closes off the live end of the track and covers the electrical rails. It does not pass power through — it terminates the circuit at that point. For mid-run blanking, a different component is used.

How is it fitted?

The cap clips onto the track end, aligning with the track profile. Some installers secure it with a small screw through the track's existing fixing hole, though this is optional depending on the installation environment and local electrical codes.
