Description

The Luxeon is a 19W dimmable LED magnetic track spotlight with an integrated 3000K warm white LED housed in a white aluminium cylindrical body. The magnetic mounting clips onto compatible track systems without tools, allowing the spotlight to be positioned, repositioned and angled along the track during installation or later adjustment. The 137.5mm height and 72mm projection give the fitting a compact profile suitable for retail, gallery, hospitality and residential track lighting schemes.

Designed for accent and display lighting rather than general ambient illumination, the Luxeon directs a focused beam onto artwork, merchandise, architectural features or table surfaces. The dimmable LED allows brightness to be adjusted from full output down to low ambient levels, useful in retail environments where lighting levels need to change between daytime browsing and evening events, or in dining spaces where light intensity drops after table service. The 3000K colour temperature sits in the warm white range, rendering skin tones, wood finishes and warm-toned fabrics naturally without the cooler blue cast of higher-temperature LEDs.

The white finish keeps the fitting visually recessive against white or light-coloured ceilings, reducing the visual clutter that can occur with darker track fittings in bright interiors. The aluminium body dissipates heat from the LED without requiring external cooling fins, maintaining the clean cylindrical form. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments — the fitting is not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor canopies or any location where moisture is present. The 230mm track adapter length means the spotlight requires a clear run of at least 250mm along the track to allow for the mounting plate and cable entry.

Frequently Asked

What track system does this fit?

The Luxeon uses a magnetic mounting system designed for compatible magnetic track rails. The track adapter clips onto the rail without tools and allows the spotlight to slide along the track and rotate to adjust the beam direction. Check that your existing track system supports magnetic fittings before ordering.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The 19W LED is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for approximately 30,000 hours of use, which equates to around 10 years at 8 hours per day. The entire spotlight would need replacing at end of LED life.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting offers no protection against moisture and is only suitable for dry indoor environments. For bathroom use, an IP44 or higher rated spotlight is required.

What dimmer is needed?

The integrated LED requires a trailing-edge or LED-compatible dimmer. Not all dimmers work reliably with LED track lighting — check dimmer compatibility with the track system manufacturer or contact us for recommendations before installation.
