Description

The Luxeon-1 is an end power cap for 3-phase track lighting systems, moulded from white polycarbonate with a snap-fit mounting that secures to the track end without tools. The cap covers the exposed track conductors and terminal connections at the end of a track run, preventing dust ingress and accidental contact with live parts once the track is energised.

Designed for both commercial and residential 3-phase track installations, the end cap is used wherever a track run terminates without a direct electrical feed — such as at the end of a ceiling-mounted track in a retail space, gallery or kitchen. The 26mm length and 52mm projection match standard Ideal Lux 3-phase track profiles, and the white finish pairs with white or light grey track to maintain a continuous colour line across the ceiling.

The polycarbonate body provides impact resistance and dimensional stability across temperature changes typical in interior lighting installations. The snap-fit mechanism clips into the track's internal grooves, holding the cap in place without visible fixings. For track runs that receive power at the end point, a different fitting (live end feed) is used instead — this cap is solely for unpowered terminations.

What's the difference between an end power cap and a live end feed?

An end power cap (this product) is a passive terminator for track ends that do not receive electrical power — it simply closes the track and protects the conductors. A live end feed is used where the track is powered from the end point and includes terminal connections for the incoming supply.

Is this compatible with single-phase track?

No. This cap is designed for 3-phase track systems where three separate circuits run along the track. Single-phase track requires a different profile end cap.

How is it fitted?

The cap snaps into the internal grooves of the track profile. Align the cap with the track end, press firmly until the clips engage, and check it sits flush with the track body. No screws or adhesive are needed.

Can it be removed and reused?

Yes. The snap-fit design allows the cap to be removed by gently prising it away from the track, and it can be refitted to the same or a different track end as needed during reconfiguration or maintenance.
