Description

The Lux Shaggy rug in Charcoal is a plain shaggy rug with a soft, tousled pile and a quiet shimmer. It is made with a metallic effect yarn, so the charcoal grey catches the light as you move around the room. There is no pattern to compete with your bedding or furniture, just one even shade across the whole rug. It is machine made from polyester and feels soft and inviting underfoot.

We think it is at its best in a bedroom, where a soft rug is the first thing your feet find in the morning, and it sits as comfortably in a calm sitting room. It comes in four sizes. The 60 by 120cm and 80 by 150cm rugs suit a bedside or the end of a bed, while the 120 by 170cm and 160 by 230cm sizes are large enough to lie partly under a bed or in front of a sofa. Charcoal is a grounding shade that pairs easily with white walls, warm timber and soft greys.

The metallic effect yarn answers the worry that a plain rug might look flat: it adds a soft sheen without adding a pattern. The soft shaggy pile makes it a good choice wherever comfort matters most, such as beside the bed where you step out barefoot. As a single plain colour, it is easy to place with what you already own. When choosing a size, measure your space and leave a border of bare floor around the rug so it sits neatly in the room.
