The chrome loops intersect and overlap in three dimensions, creating a sculptural framework 780mm wide and 750mm deep that suspends from a triangular ceiling plate. Each of the five G9 bulbs (sold separately) sits inside a hand-formed glass shade with an irregular, organic profile that mixes clear and frosted surfaces.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and open-plan living areas with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the Lux provides five independent light sources distributed across a wide horizontal plane rather than a single central drop. The 1500mm maximum drop is adjustable down to 200mm on installation, allowing the fitting to be set closer to the ceiling in rooms with lower heights or raised higher for dramatic effect over a long table. The polished chrome finish reflects surrounding colours and light back into the room, amplifying the effect of the bulbs.

Each glass shade shows slight variation in form due to the hand-sculpting process, so the five shades within a single fitting are similar but not identical. The combination of clear and frosted glass creates multiple lighting effects simultaneously — direct light from the clear sections, diffused glow from the frosted areas, and sparkle from the internal carved surfaces. The chrome loops themselves act as secondary reflectors, bouncing light between the five sources and creating movement across the ceiling plane as the viewer moves around the room.

What bulbs does the Lux take?

The fitting takes five G9 capsule bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with G9 LED bulbs between 2.5-4W in warm white (2700K-3000K) for dining and living areas. Halogen G9 bulbs up to 40W each are also compatible if higher output is needed.

Is the Lux dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with dimmable G9 bulbs. The fitting itself has no built-in dimming circuit, so dimmer compatibility depends on the specific bulbs chosen. LED G9 bulbs marked as dimmable typically work with most trailing-edge dimmers.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 1500mm maximum drop works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The drop can be shortened to 200mm minimum on installation if the ceiling is lower or if you want the fitting to sit closer to the ceiling plane.
