Description

The Lunare is a 32cm diameter brass ring pendant light with a blown clear glass globe held asymmetrically within the circular frame. An integrated 5W LED inside the globe casts warm 3000K light through the clear glass outer shell and a frosted diffuser at the core, producing both direct illumination and reflected patterns across the brass ring itself.

Designed for dining tables, breakfast bars and kitchen islands in rooms with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3m, the pendant combines ambient and task lighting in a single fitting. The drop is adjustable between 45cm and 135cm on installation, allowing the ring to be positioned 60-80cm above a worktop or 70-90cm above a dining surface depending on ceiling height. The brass canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses and the cable runs concealed through the suspension wires.

The brass frame has a warm-toned satin finish that sits midway between polished and brushed, reducing glare while retaining enough reflectivity to pick up light from the globe. The clear blown glass shows slight irregularities in thickness typical of hand-blown work, giving each globe a unique optical quality when lit. The off-centre positioning of the globe within the ring creates an asymmetric composition that reads differently from various viewing angles around a table.

The 5W LED delivers approximately 400 lumens at 3000K, sufficient for intimate dining lighting or supplementary task light over a small work surface, though not bright enough as the sole light source in a large kitchen. The IP20 rating restricts the fitting to dry indoor locations — not suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor covered areas.
