The IP44 rating protects against splashing water and solid objects above 1mm diameter, making the fitting suitable for open gardens, patios and driveway edges where it won't be submerged or pressure-washed directly.

Designed for pathway and perimeter lighting in residential gardens, hotel grounds and commercial landscaping, the Lumira provides low-level illumination at approximately 660mm above ground level. The white polycarbonate diffuser softens the light output from the GX53 bulb (sold separately), spreading an even pool of light across paving and borders without harsh glare. The 150mm square footprint fits between typical border plantings without dominating flowerbeds.

What bulb does it take?

The Lumira takes one GX53 bulb with a maximum wattage as specified in the fitting instructions. GX53 bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED GX53 bulb between 5-9W and 2700K-3000K for pathway lighting.

How is it installed?

The bollard requires a buried cable run to a weatherproof supply point, typically from a junction box or outdoor circuit protected by an RCD. The base is mounted to a flat surface (paving slab, concrete plinth) or set into the ground with appropriate foundation work. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with BS 7671 wiring regulations.

Is it suitable for coastal areas?

The cast aluminium frame with powder-coated finish offers good corrosion resistance in most UK environments including coastal locations. Regular cleaning to remove salt deposits will extend the finish life in areas with strong salt spray exposure.
