Description
The Lumira Round is a 155mm diameter outdoor bollard light built from cast aluminium with a coffee brown powder-coated finish and a cylindrical white polycarbonate diffuser. The fitting takes a single GX53 bulb (sold separately) and carries an IP44 rating for protection against splashing water from any direction, making it suitable for garden paths, patios, driveways and perimeter lighting.
Designed for low-level pathway illumination, the Lumira sits approximately 450mm high from ground level and distributes light both upwards through the top of the diffuser and outwards through the sides. The white polycarbonate acts as a diffuser to soften the bulb glare and create even ambient light around the bollard's footprint. The coffee brown aluminium base sits on a circular flange with fixing holes for securing to paving, concrete or timber decking.
The cast aluminium construction resists corrosion in UK coastal and urban environments, and the powder-coated finish is rated for outdoor exposure without requiring additional protective coating. The coffee brown tone pairs well with natural timber decking, sandstone paving and terracotta exteriors while maintaining visibility against most garden planting. The polycarbonate diffuser is impact-resistant and less prone to shattering than glass equivalents, making the Lumira a practical choice for high-footfall garden paths and commercial landscaping installations.
The fitting is dimmable when paired with a compatible GX53 LED bulb and a mains dimmer switch rated for LED loads. Most users install these bollards in runs of 3-5 units spaced 2-3m apart along pathways to create continuous wayfinding light without overlighting the space.

Frequently Asked
What does the IP44 rating mean?
IP44 means the fitting is protected against solid objects larger than 1mm and splashing water from any direction. It is suitable for outdoor installation in UK gardens, patios and driveways but should not be submerged or installed in standing water.
What bulb does it require?
The Lumira takes a single GX53 bulb up to 9-11W LED equivalent. GX53 bulbs are flat disc-shaped fittings common in low-profile and outdoor bollard applications. Bulbs are sold separately.
How is it installed?
The bollard fixes to the ground via a circular flange at the base with pre-drilled holes for screws or bolts. Installation requires mains wiring to be run underground in conduit to the bollard location, terminating inside the base. This work must be carried out by a qualified electrician.
Can it be used on timber decking?
Yes. The circular flange can be fixed to timber decking joists using appropriate outdoor-rated fixings. Ensure the cable run is protected in conduit beneath the decking structure.
