Description

The Lucia is a 1.25m floor lamp built around a slender polished chrome stem that curves upward from a weighted circular base to support a single tubular frosted glass shade. A single G9 halogen bulb inside the glass tube (included) casts light through the frosted glass, diffusing it into soft ambient illumination rather than directing it downward or into a beam.

Designed as ambient lighting for bedrooms, living rooms, reading corners and hallways, the Lucia suits spaces where a low-footprint vertical lamp is needed to fill a corner or sit alongside a sofa or armchair. The 150mm-diameter chrome base provides stability on bare floors and short-pile rugs, and the 3.9kg total weight gives the lamp enough presence to resist being knocked over by passing traffic. The chrome finish reflects surrounding light, so the lamp reads differently under daylight than under evening tungsten lighting.

The frosted glass shade measures approximately 250mm in length and sits at the top of the chrome stem, angled slightly upward to direct light onto the ceiling as well as outward into the room. This creates a dual effect where the glass itself glows visibly and the ceiling receives a wash of reflected light. The lamp is dimmable when paired with dimmable G9 bulbs (the included halogen is dimmable on standard phase-cut dimmers). The lamp is not compatible with LED or CFL bulbs due to the heat dissipation profile of the enclosed glass shade.

Is the Lucia dimmable?

Yes, when paired with dimmable G9 bulbs. The included halogen bulb is dimmable on standard phase-cut dimmer switches. If you replace the bulb with a non-dimmable G9, the lamp will not dim.

Can I use LED bulbs in this lamp?

No. The Lucia is not compatible with LED or CFL bulbs due to the heat dissipation characteristics of the enclosed frosted glass shade. Use halogen G9 bulbs only, up to 40W maximum.

What size room does it suit?

The Lucia provides ambient rather than task lighting, so it works best in small to mid-sized rooms (up to 15-20m²) where it acts as supplementary lighting alongside ceiling fittings or other lamps. In larger rooms it functions as accent lighting for a specific zone.

Is the glass shade replaceable if damaged?
