Description

The Louise is a 74cm-diameter crystal chandelier with five E27 bulb positions arranged on curved polished chrome arms, each topped with a white organza shade. Crystal pendalogues hang from the frame at intervals, with larger faceted drops suspended below each arm to catch and scatter light from the bulbs above.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or higher, the Louise provides both ambient light through the shaded bulbs and decorative sparkle through the crystal elements. The drop is adjustable between 650mm and 1500mm on installation, allowing the chandelier to be set at the correct height above a dining table (typically 750-850mm clearance) or centred in a double-height space. The polished chrome canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses and the suspension rod conceals the cable run.

The 74cm spread suits rooms of 4m x 4m or larger without dominating the space. At 6.8kg the chandelier requires secure ceiling fixing into a joist or noggin, not just plasterboard. The white organza shades soften the light from each bulb and prevent direct glare when the fitting is viewed from below, while the crystal pendalogues add movement and reflection as the chandelier catches air currents or passing footfall. The chandelier takes five E27 Edison screw bulbs, sold separately. Most users fit matching LED bulbs at 6-10W each with a warm white colour temperature of 2700K-3000K. Any E27 bulb up to the maximum rated wattage for the fitting can be used.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with dimmable E27 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch installed on the lighting circuit. The chandelier itself does not contain dimming electronics, so both the bulbs and the wall dimmer must support the bulb type chosen.

What ceiling height is needed?
