Description
Four ribbed dome shades hang in a line from a slim polished chrome bar, each shading from petrol blue down into smoke so the glass reads darkest at the rim. The bar runs a little over 1.2m end to end and stays narrow front to back, so it lines up over a worktop without leaning into the room. Every shade takes its own E27 lamp of up to 20W, and the drops can be set individually, either level with one another or stepped to follow a surface.
This is the fitting we suggest when a room has length to it: a kitchen island, a run of breakfast bar, a narrow dining table where a single central pendant leaves both ends in shadow. The long adjustable drop means it can hang low over the table in a room with height, or be pulled up tight for a lower ceiling. It will dim, given lamps that dim and a compatible dimmer on the circuit, which is worth doing where the same table is used for homework in the morning and dinner at night.
The ribbing runs the depth of each dome in fine vertical lines, so the glass catches the chrome above it and breaks the lamp's glare into something softer. Chrome and glass both want the same treatment: a dry microfibre cloth for fingerprints, and nothing abrasive on the plating. Give the shades an occasional proper clean and the blue stays clear rather than dulling. It carries a one year warranty. Polished chrome runs through the wider Lori range on the single light flush fittings, and smoke glass turns up there too on the antique gold versions, so a hallway or landing can be tied back to the kitchen. Lamps are not included.

Frequently Asked
How low will it hang?
The drop adjusts from 270mm at its shortest to 2270mm at its longest, so it can sit close under a standard ceiling or hang well down over a table in a room with height.
What lamps does it need?
Four E27 lamps, each up to 20W. LED is the sensible choice here, and the shape of lamp you pick will show through the ribbed glass, so choose to suit the look you want. Lamps are supplied separately.
Can it be dimmed?
Yes, provided you fit dimmable lamps and a compatible dimmer on the circuit. No dimmer is supplied with the fitting.
How much space does it need above a table?
Allow for a bar of 1200mm in length and 80mm across, plus the width of the shades themselves. It works best centred on a surface of similar length or longer.
Is it suitable for a bathroom or a covered porch?
No. It is rated IP20, which suits dry rooms indoors such as kitchens, dining rooms and hallways.
How do I keep the chrome looking right?
Dry buffing with a soft cloth is enough. Avoid cream cleaners, scouring pads and anything solvent based, as these will mark polished plating permanently.
