Description

Three slim curved trapezium shades sit in a row beneath a round 40cm ceiling plate, and the two finishes do the work here: antique gold on the frame, chrome on the shades themselves. The narrow, tapered shape keeps each light compact, so the trio reads as one piece rather than as separate fittings. The drop adjusts, which means it can hang close to the ceiling or fall well down into a room, and it is set to suit the height of the room it goes in.

We would put it over a dining table or along a run of kitchen worktop, where the light spreads along the length of the fitting instead of pooling in a single spot. It suits an entrance hall with generous headroom too, and a long stairwell where the adjustable drop earns its keep. Each holder takes a screw-fit E27 lamp of up to 20W, and the fitting will dim if you pair suitable lamps with a compatible dimmer.

The metalwork carries an antique gold finish with a softly aged tone, warmer and quieter than polished brass, while the chrome shades throw light back into the room. Dust with a soft dry cloth; if fingermarks show on the gold, use a barely damp cloth and dry it off straight after, nothing abrasive. Keep it to indoor rooms away from steam and splashes.
