Description

The Loop is a 5-light flush ceiling light built around a sculptural antique brass frame with five curved arms radiating from a central hub, each supporting a frosted and clear glass globe with a G9 bulb fitting. The frame sits 120mm below the ceiling rose, making it suitable for rooms with standard 2.4m ceiling heights where a pendant would hang too low.

Designed for living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and hallways needing both ambient light and a decorative ceiling feature, the Loop's 380mm diameter suits rooms between 12-20m². The five G9 bulbs (sold separately) provide directional light from each globe rather than a single central source, distributing illumination more evenly across the space. The frosted lower half of each globe softens glare while the clear upper half allows light to reflect off the ceiling.

The antique brass finish shows deliberate tonal variation across the curved arms, darkening slightly in the recesses and catching light on the high points to give depth to the sculptural form. Each arm curves outward and upward from the central mount, creating a flowing five-pointed star shape when viewed from below. The metal frame weighs 2.4kg and requires secure fixing to a ceiling joist or reinforced plasterboard anchor.

The Loop takes five G9 capsule bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with 3-5W LED G9 bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) for ambient lighting. Total wattage depends on the bulbs chosen.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, provided you fit dimmable G9 LED bulbs and pair the fitting with a compatible LED dimmer switch. Non-dimmable bulbs will not dim and may flicker or fail if used with a dimmer.

What ceiling height is needed?

The Loop sits 120mm below the ceiling rose, making it suitable for standard UK ceiling heights of 2.4m and above. Lower ceilings can still accommodate the fitting, but headroom clearance should be checked in circulation areas.

How is the antique brass finish maintained?

Antique brass develops a natural patina over time. To preserve the original tone, wipe gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For deeper cleaning, use a barely-damp cloth with warm water, then dry immediately. Avoid abrasive cleaners or metal polishes that would strip the antiqued surface.
