Description

The Loop is a 2-light wall light with curved satin nickel arms that intertwine across a circular backplate, holding two frosted glass spheres with horizontal opal line detailing. Each sphere houses a G9 bulb (sold separately), diffusing light through the frosted glass while the opal lines add a sculptural texture visible when the fitting is unlit.

Designed for living rooms, hallways and bedroom walls where ambient rather than task lighting is needed, the Loop mounts 180mm from the wall and spreads 220mm horizontally. The curved arms give the fitting visible movement without overwhelming narrow wall spaces, making it suitable for alcoves, chimney breasts and walls between doorways where a single pendant would hang too low. The satin nickel finish softens reflections and pairs with both warm neutrals and cooler grey-toned interiors.

The glass spheres are hand-blown with the opal lines applied during forming, so the exact spacing and alignment of the horizontal bands vary slightly between individual pieces. The combined metal and glass construction gives the fitting a 0.9kg weight that requires secure fixing to plasterboard or masonry. The backplate conceals the cable entry point and fixing screws once installed, presenting a clean finished appearance on the wall.

What bulbs does it take?

The Loop takes two G9 capsule bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED G9 bulbs between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K. The fitting is dimmable when paired with dimmable G9 LED bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch.

How far does it project from the wall?

The fitting projects 180mm from the wall once installed, measured from the backplate to the furthest forward point of the glass spheres. This makes it suitable for walls where clearance above furniture or passing traffic is needed.

Can it be fitted to plasterboard?

Yes, but the 0.9kg weight requires secure fixing. Use plasterboard fixings rated for at least 2kg, or mount the backplate to a timber stud or masonry wall where possible. The backplate has two fixing holes for wall screws.

Are the opal lines identical on both spheres?

The horizontal opal lines are applied during hand-blowing, so the exact spacing and alignment vary slightly between the two spheres and between individual Loop fittings. This is a characteristic of the manufacturing process, not a defect.
