Description

The Loop is a 160mm table lamp with a frosted glass sphere held within a curved polished chrome frame that arcs over the top and anchors to a circular chrome base. A single G9 bulb inside the sphere (sold separately) diffuses through the frosted glass, providing soft ambient or task light. The chrome frame reflects light back into the room, adding brightness without glare.

Designed for desks, bedside tables, shelving and console surfaces where compact footprint matters, the Loop's 160mm diameter and 250mm height fit tight spaces without overwhelming them. The curved frame gives the lamp a sculptural presence when lit or unlit, making it function as both light source and object. The weighted chrome base provides stability on flat surfaces, and the inline switch on the cable allows the lamp to be turned on and off without reaching behind furniture.

The polished chrome finish pairs with both warm and cool interiors, and the reflective surface picks up ambient light during the day. The frosted glass softens the G9 bulb's point source into a diffused glow, reducing eye strain for desk work or bedside reading. The lamp is dimmable when paired with a compatible G9 LED bulb and a trailing-edge dimmer, allowing light levels to be adjusted from full output down to a low night-light level.

The Loop takes a single G9 capsule bulb, sold separately. Most users pair this with a 2.5W-4W LED G9 in 2700K-3000K for warm desk or bedside lighting. Maximum wattage depends on the bulb type chosen.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with a dimmable G9 LED bulb and a compatible trailing-edge dimmer. Standard rotary dimmers may cause flickering with LED bulbs, so check dimmer compatibility before purchase.

What size surface does it need?

The circular chrome base is 160mm in diameter, so the lamp needs a flat surface at least 180mm wide to sit comfortably without overhanging the edge.

Can it be used as a bedside reading light?

Yes. The 250mm height positions the light source at a suitable level for reading in bed when placed on a standard bedside table. The inline cable switch allows the lamp to be turned off without reaching behind the table.
